As Data Engineer at EY wavespace, you will elevate data engineering to empower AI-ready data solutions for clients. You lead a high-performing team and collaborate with the AI domain to tackle complex data challenges. You will design scalable pipelines with Databricks, Snowflake, and Azure, champion data quality and governance, and drive real-time analytics. This role offers impact across client engagements and opportunities to shape the future of data-driven decisions.

Responsibilities

Lead and mentor a data engineering team fostering collaboration and continuous improvement
Engage with clients to assess needs and propose solutions aligned with business goals
Oversee design/implementation of scalable data pipelines using Databricks (PySpark, Delta Lake), Snowflake, and/or Microsoft Fabric
Manage data integration processes and enforce data quality, observability, and metadata practices
Drive data modernization to support AI-ready architectures for advanced analytics
Supervise data profiling and cleansing to maintain data integrity
Lead implementation of streaming systems for real-time processing and analytics

Key requirements

Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or related field
5-7 years of relevant experience
Proven managerial experience in data engineering, preferably in consulting or financial services
Hands-on expertise in Databricks, Snowflake, and Azure within MS/Databricks environments
Experience in data processing, cloud data architecture, and data warehouse principles
Experience in Data Governance, Unity Catalog, and/or MS Purview with best-practices guidance
Excellent programming in Python and SQL
Strong client engagement, problem-solving, and team leadership skills
Fluency in English and Spanish (written and spoken)
