In this role you will translate large, multi-source data into actionable insights to drive sales, retention, and cross-sell opportunities for Ryder’s products. You’ll partner with business stakeholders and IT to source and vet data, design ingestion plans, and improve data quality for marketing. You will mentor a team to deepen customer understanding and inform strategic initiatives. Expect cross-functional collaboration with Marketing, Sales, IT, and leadership to deliver high-impact analytics.

Responsibilities

Lead data acquisition for product usage analytics across the organization and assess data quality and sustainability
Deliver actionable analytics beyond dashboards to inform strategic decisions
Identify and implement process improvements in analytics and data workflows
Drive innovation in analytical products and new data sources
Promote early stakeholder engagement to design focused projects and improve efficiency
Provide customer and experience insights down to branch/unit level
Support development of data infrastructure and enrichment of existing data sets
Collaborate across Marketing, Sales, IT, and leadership to achieve outcomes

Key requirements

Advanced SQL for complex queries with multi-table joins
Proficiency in Python, Power BI, R, DataBricks, SAS or similar statistical tools
Strong Excel skills and data manipulation abilities
8+ years in big-data analytics in a Fortune 500 or Management Consulting environment
Experience in transportation/logistics is a plus
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, economics, finance, statistics or computer science; MBA/master's preferred
Excellent communication and ability to present to senior management
Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams
Strong problem solving, urgency, and time management skills
