In this role you will lead external financial reporting and support the corporate close process within a small finance team. You will partner with FP&A to explain monthly fluctuations and prepare internal and external disclosures under U.S. GAAP. You will drive technical accounting research, assist with new standards, and contribute to process improvements and ERP initiatives. This is a hands-on role that shapes financial reporting quality and controls in a growth-focused environment.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain accounting policies and ensure consistent U.S. GAAP application
Oversee month-end close procedures, including journal entries, reconciliations, and roll-forwards
Collaborate with FP&A to analyze balance sheet and income statement fluctuations
Prepare monthly internal reporting package, including flash reports and cash flow analysis
Produce monthly, quarterly, and year-end statements and disclosures per U.S. GAAP
Prepare borrowing base certificates and reporting related to Credit Agreements
Assist with new accounting standards research, processes, and disclosures
Manage relationship with external auditors for financial reporting matters
Collaborate with accounts payable to improve invoice processing controls
Work with accounts receivable to enhance collections processes
Lead and support initiatives to streamline and automate accounting processes, especially data and reporting
Assist with special projects and executive needs, including new ERP implementation

Key requirements

Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
4-5 years public accounting experience (preferably Big 4)
3-5 years of recent financial reporting experience
Active CPA license
Hyperion Essbase experience
Proficient in MS Excel and Word
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong communication skills
Ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines
