Duties
- Serve as an Operations Support Analyst within the Directors Support Group (DSG), Office of the Director, Defense Logistics Agency (DLA).
- Manage and coordinate incoming correspondence and tasks from various organizations within the Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD).
- Manages internal taskings within the Agency’s headquarters and with its six Major Subordinate Commands (MSCs) and three Regional Commands.
- Use judgment and initiative to resolve and/or provide recommendations to resolve complicated problems or issues related to policy application, prioritizing, and coordinating major program functions within DLA.
- Consider a wide range of internal and external interrelated factors that impact coordination on major OSD and Agency initiatives--
- -- including White House and congressional interest, intra-Department policy coordination, and global military readiness requirements.
- Serve as a DSG representative responsible for communicating with personnel throughout DLA, identify, assess and analyze and assign work requirements, determine status of work assignments, review and validate inputs to determine completeness.
- Assists with conducting detailed analysis to develop new approaches and identify meaningful workload factors, performance quality levels, and accurate measurement techniques.
- Review DLA senior executive level correspondence, including responses to congressional inquiries, General Accounting Administration reports, and DoD IG reports.
- Coordinate with agency system users to update policies and procedures and relay DOD requirements.

Qualifications
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-12 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in- grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes:
- Coordinate with agency system users to update policies/procedures and relay and identify requirements.
- Assists with conducting detailed analysis to develop new approaches and identify meaningful workload factors, performance quality levels, and accurate measurement techniques.
- Develop and maintain associated reporting data.
Education
Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
