In this role you lead the maintenance organization at the Pernis site to ensure safe, reliable and cost-efficient plant operation. You align with the Technical Management Team to establish standards, manage planning and execution, and drive continuous improvement in asset reliability. You’ll address critical safety, quality and lifecycle issues while coordinating contractors and internal stakeholders. The opportunity combines leadership, data-driven improvement, and hands-on optimization in an international setting.
Responsibilities
- Oversee safe, compliant, and efficient maintenance execution (preventive, corrective, emergency)
- Lead the maintenance organization to deliver reliable and predictable performance
- Establish and maintain maintenance processes, standards and procedures
- Manage execution within planning, budget, and quality requirements
- Drive continuous improvement of maintenance performance and asset reliability
- Make decisions on day-to-day maintenance execution and resource allocation within approved budgets
- Provide input for budgets, asset strategies, and improvement initiatives
- Escalate major priorities and technical deviations to Technical Manager
Key requirements
- Minimum 10 years of relevant maintenance experience
- Bachelor level education
- Experience with maintenance systems (e.g., SAP) and data-driven performance management
- People manager and team player
- Strong communication skills at strategic and operational levels
- English and Dutch language skills (written and spoken)
- Experience developing standards and procedures
