In this role you support mission-critical facilities by coordinating maintenance and construction activities to ensure a safe, healing environment. You will work with a cross-functional team to align engineering tasks with capital projects, review and schedule work orders, and analyze repairs and costs. The role offers the opportunity to impact patient care through proactive site management and data-driven reporting. You will join Harborview’s Facilities Engineering team at a leading regional trauma and burn center.
Responsibilities
- Oversee craft supervisors in construction and maintenance
- Follow up on inquiries and complaints to drive timely actions and project completion
- Coordinate engineering functions with construction and maintenance activities
- Review, write and schedule work orders and maintenance requests
- Assist in building inspections and data collection to assess repairs and costs
- Conduct surveys, analyze systems and prepare reports on maintenance, planning and estimating, utility production, and budget-related activities
Key requirements
- Five years of work experience in physical plant operations
- College training with a major in business administration, mechanical engineering or allied discipline may substitute for up to four years of experience
- Equivalent education/experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except for licensed/certified requirements
