In this role you design low voltage distribution systems for large-scale buildings, develop specifications, and perform supporting calculations. You will produce layouts for Nurse Call, Security/Access, Fire Alarm, Telecom, and Datacom systems, and guide submittals with the A/E team. You’ll participate in design reviews, site visits, and QA/QC to ensure quality from inception through project completion. This role supports federal clients and a mission-driven team focused on excellence and impactful projects.
Responsibilities
- Develop low voltage distribution system designs, write specifications, and perform supporting calculations
- Produce and update layouts/drawings for Nurse Call, Security/Access Control, Fire Alarm, Telecom, and Datacom systems
- Provide low voltage input to the A/E team for requirements and submittals
- Attend design review and construction meetings; conduct site visits and field QA/QC reviews
- Coordinate with the design team from project inception through completion
Key requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (preferred)
- 5+ years of recent experience with low voltage systems design for medium to large-scale building construction projects
- RCDD or similar certification required
- Proficient in Revit and AutoCAD
