In this role you advise on legal matters within a global engineering group, supporting contract work and compliance in an international setting. You collaborate with sales, finance, project management, service and supply chain to minimize risk and enable execution. You’ll translate legislation into practical guidelines and contribute to disputes and claims handling. Responsibilities
- Draft, negotiate, and finalize commercial contracts
- Maintain up-to-date internal legal information in legal databases (corporate data, contracts, agreements)
- Translate relevant legislation into legal guidelines, procedures, codes, contracts, and models and support their implementation
- Draft legal letters, notes, and decisions per policies and procedures
- Contribute to handling of legal issues, claims, disputes, and litigation in the organisation
- Collaborate with colleagues across departments (sales, finance, project management, service, supply chain)
Key requirements
- Master’s degree in Law, preferably international or commercial law
- Several years’ experience as Company Lawyer or Legal Counsel
- Legal and drafting skills with expertise in English commercial law
- Strong communication and ability to translate legal complexity into practical business advice
- Adaptability, prioritisation, and results-oriented mindset
- Affinity for renewables, maritime, or technical industries; willingness to travel internationally
- Good negotiation and analytical skills; managerial experience
- EU passport/valid work permit for the Netherlands; fluent English
