Responsibilities

Provide legal support and advice to senior management on diverse legal matters
Ensure compliance with internal policies, statutory regulations, and financial regulatory frameworks (MiFID II, EMIR, UK FCA)
Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with clients, financial institutions, and technology partners
Evaluate legal risks and support business teams in developing compliant, commercially viable solutions
Assist in handling regulatory inquiries, audits, and communications with supervisory authorities
Execute legal procedures related to intellectual property (software licenses, patents, trademarks, designs)
Monitor regulatory developments in capital markets and FinTech and communicate updates to stakeholders
Contribute to knowledge-sharing within the legal team and enhance internal processes and tools

Key requirements

2+ years of experience in a law firm or in-house legal department
Strong understanding of contract law, financial regulation, and regulatory requirements for trading platforms
Ability to analyze complex legal and regulatory issues and translate into practical guidance
Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail with a solution-driven, end-to-end ownership mindset
Affinity for innovative technologies and proactive legal problem-solving in a fast-paced environment
Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken
