In this role you act as a trusted legal advisor to the sales teams across assigned verticals/geographies, leading contract negotiations with autonomy and sound judgment. You will collaborate with Sales, Information Security, Deal Management, and Finance to close deals while managing risk. You’ll handle language-specific and local-law issues and escalate complex matters as needed. Based in Madrid (4 days) to support growth with pragmatic legal solutions.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary legal contact for sales teams in assigned verticals/geographies
- Independently lead contract negotiations in line with company policies and risk controls
- Participate in customer calls and negotiations with cross-functional teams to close deals
- Escalate complex legal issues and follow guidance from management
- Provide general legal advice focusing on local law and language-specific considerations
Key requirements
- Qualified lawyer with ≥5 years PQE
- ≥3 years negotiating contracts with knowledge of commercial law and software/cloud master agreements
- Experience with revenue-related master agreements preferred
- Experience with English-law governed contracts preferred
- Fluency in English and Spanish (ability to draft in both)
- German, Dutch, French or Italian language skills are an advantage
