In this role you drive operational excellence for MANN+HUMMEL’s European sites by shaping and executing the lean strategy. You will lead regional lean activities, align plant roadmaps, and advance the digitalization of lean with data-driven solutions. You will develop a high-performing team and facilitate workshops to boost production and logistics efficiency. This position offers the chance to influence cross-site performance and contribute to the company’s leadership in filtration.
Responsibilities
- Define and align the lean strategy for Europe with corporate direction
- Coordinate lean roadmaps across 11 plants and regional strategy
- Develop and monitor a daily scorecard to track plant performance
- Drive improvements in space usage, material flow, and lead times
- Lead training for MH Production System (MHPS) and identify development needs
- Plan and run workshops (Kaizen, Hoshin, VSM, 5S, SMED, layout) to improve efficiency
- Coordinate best-practice sharing across the region
- Develop and lead a high-performing lean team in Europe
Key requirements
- University degree in (Industrial) Engineering or similar field
- Minimum 5 years in automotive industry in a similar role
- Expert knowledge of LEAN tools and production processes (e.g., pleating, welding, assembly)
- Familiarity with M+H products and manufacturing processes preferred
- Experience leading cross-site teams; SAP experience preferred
- Business-fluent English
- Hands-on mindset with strong shopfloor orientation; strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to operate in a matrix organization and build a network; travel required
