In this role you guide cardiovascular outcomes strategy within Roche’s Clinical Development; you will lead late-stage CVRM trials and CV outcome studies, partnering with cross-functional teams to advance therapies to patients. You mentor physicians and scientists, engage with regulators and external experts, and contribute to innovative trial designs that drive meaningful patient impact. This is a high-impact role at the intersection of science, medicine, and regulatory strategy.
Responsibilities
- Guide and shape cardiovascular outcomes strategy
- Lead late-stage CV outcomes trials and CVOTs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (clinical research, regulatory, medical affairs)
- Author global trial plans and oversee execution
- Mentor other physicians/scientists in disease area
- Engage with regulatory authorities for submissions and compliance
- Provide clinical insights to improve development plans and study designs
- Coordinate with external experts, KOLs, and investigators to achieve outcomes
Key requirements
- MD in Cardiology (board-certified preferred)
- 5+ years pharma/biotech R&D experience
- Experience authoring global trial plans and interacting with health authorities
- Proven track record in large CV outcome trials and study design
- Strong external network in CVOTs and cardiovascular medicine
- Regulatory experience: clinical science input for submissions
- Ability to collaborate with diverse internal and external partners
- Outstanding interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
