Responsibilities
- Lead precision mechanical design and product development for interconnect systems
- Drive reliability validation and performance engineering across the lifecycle
- Support manufacturing transfer, supplier collaboration, and production release
- Lead hands-on design reviews, problem solving, and cross-functional collaboration
- Conduct validation testing, analysis, and documentation; mentor team members
Key requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or a related technical discipline
- 8+ years of experience designing precision mechanical or electromechanical products
- Proven experience with complex interconnect, contact, fixture, test, or high-reliability mechanical systems
- Strong understanding of contact behavior, wear, friction, fatigue, deformation, and lifecycle performance
- Material selection, coatings, and surface treatments to enhance durability
- Advanced GD&T, tolerance analysis, dimensional control, and precision manufacturing principles
- Proficiency with modern CAD platforms and production drawings
- Experience supporting full development lifecycle from prototyping to production release
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to optimize system performance
- Strong problem-solving, technical leadership, and communication skills
