As Lead Development Engineer you will drive the development of engine concepts for NPI and NTI within a cross-disciplinary team. You will provide technical leadership, guide risk mitigation, and supervise field investigations to resolve system and component issues. The role involves high-impact design, testing, and analysis work that shapes future engine technology. You will collaborate across disciplines, lead reviews, and ensure rigorous know-how management, contributing to INNIO's innovation in engine development.

Responsibilities
- Lead development of engine concepts and functions for NPI and NTI
- Provide technical leadership to the team and foster cross-disciplinary collaboration
- Identify and mitigate risks across projects and guide mitigation actions
- Drive technical investigations and resolve issues through RCAs and quality processes
- Lead field investigations on client sites to resolve system and functional issues
- Perform design, simulation, testing, data analysis, and software definition tasks
- Prepare and review technical reports; drive know-how management
- Coordinate input across the team and present results at design reviews
- Lead preparation for project design reviews and close action items
- Flexibly undertake other reasonable tasks as required
Key requirements
- Comprehensive knowledge of reciprocating engine technology
- More than 10 years experience in engine development
- Specific experience in cylinder head and valvetrain development
- Strong analytical, proactive, and results-driven mindset
- High-quality task execution with attention to detail
- Proficiency with relevant tools, troubleshooting methods, and development models
- Team player with experience in international environments
- Excellent English communication skills (oral and written)
