Experteer Overview

In this role you will leverage your deep understanding of tax and trust & estate laws to communicate complex information in a simple, non-technical manner to clients and advisors, while aligning with field leadership to advance regional wealth-planning strategies. You will engage across the wealth spectrum, integrating estate planning concepts into advice and supporting pre-liquidity and concentrated position planning. This is a high-impact position in a collaborative, growth-focused environment that values integrity and client-first service.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and present content on wealth management topics with divisional and WP&A leadership
  • Serve as a resource on tax and trust & estate planning, concentrated position management, and executive services
  • Partner with field leadership to integrate planning concepts into goals-based advice
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of federal and state tax laws related to focus areas
  • Promote JPMorgan knowledge to outside centers of influence (accountants and attorneys)
  • Develop business opportunities with Advisors and clients
  • Provide unbiased comprehensive wealth planning advice to clients and prospects
  • Collaborate in team discussions to propose planning ideas and industry trends
  • Travel to local and out-of-state branches as needed

Key requirements

  • Bachelor (4-year college degree) and either J.D, LLB, CPA or CFP
  • 7+ years of experience in trusts & estates law, tax advisory, or financial planning
  • Knowledge of securities-based compensation, pre-liquidity planning, and concentrated position management (e.g., 10b5-1 plans, derivatives, exchange funds)
  • Comfort working with clients across the wealth spectrum; experience with tax and wealth transfer strategies
  • Ability to drive business results with broad trust & estate planning knowledge
  • Strong self-motivation and ability to work with Advisors with limited direct supervision
  • Excellent presentation skills in one-on-one and group settings
  • Ability to understand clients’ financial situations and personal circumstances
  • Strong partnership skills and ability to coach colleagues, Advisors, and clients
  • High ethical standards and client-first mindset
