In this role, you will lead IT services for a site or site cluster, acting as the primary link between site leadership and IT. You’ll drive incident resolution, prioritise changes and projects, and ensure service levels across infrastructure, applications, security, and service desk. You’ll collaborate with global IT and site teams within a matrix organisation to deliver secure, cost-efficient IT operations and governance. This position offers visibility, impact on site performance, and opportunities to shape IT delivery in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

Act as IT business partner for a site or cluster and member of the Site Steering Committee
Steer IT resources with IT Functional Leads to resolve IT issues and assignments
Implement, maintain and monitor IT policies and procedures
Ensure equipment deployment supports efficiency and cost control
Support Global and Regional IT operations and adherence to standards
Contribute to the annual IT budget process
Oversee site IT services and maintain a customer-service oriented approach
Ensure IT security requirements are observed across sites
Provide pastoral care support to site-based IT staff (health, safety, wellbeing)
Perform other duties as assigned by management

Key requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, related field, or equivalent experience
Systems experience within a manufacturing environment
Minimum 5 years of people management and project management experience
Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications
Ability to work effectively in a matrix environment with strong communication and listening skills
Demonstrated leadership, initiative, and independent judgment
Professionalism, adaptability, and flexibility
Ability to work with management in a fast-paced environment and maintain confidentiality
Strong problem-solving and project-management skills
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Excellent written and verbal English communication
Strong organizational and planning abilities
Ability to work in a multi-reporting relationship structure
Regular site presence and willingness to travel
