Experteer Overview

As an experienced ISO auditor, you will conduct multi-scope audits across QMS, EMS, OH&S, and ISMS for construction projects in Austria. You’ll work freelance with a focus on bridging compliance, documentation, and site assessments to uphold certification standards. You’ll collaborate with project teams and auditors to drive consistent, high-quality audit outcomes. This role offers exposure to major infrastructure and building projects in a cross-border context and relies on your expertise to shape robust management systems.

Responsibilities

Conduct on-site audits at construction facilities across Austria
Perform desktop reviews of management system documentation
Interview project managers, HSE officers, quality leads, and IT managers
Assess compliance with ISO standards and Austrian legal requirements
Document findings, non-conformities, and observations
Prepare audit reports in German and English

Key requirements

ISO/IEC 17021 Lead Auditor Certification (or equivalent)
Scope 28 accreditation: Construction sector
Multi-scope audit experience across ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, ISO 45001:2023, ISO 27001:2022
German fluency (C1/C2) - Essential
English fluency (B2+ minimum)
Minimum 5+ years as Lead Auditor in construction
Experience with infrastructure and building construction projects
Knowledge of Austrian/EU regulatory requirements (preferred)
Freelance/Self-employed (B2B arrangement)
Experience with initial, surveillance, and recertification audits
