In this role you will deliver high-quality, compassionate pulmonary care within the Sparrow Health System and UMH-Sparrow, while leading and participating in multidisciplinary teams. You’ll supervise patient care, contribute to program development, and support quality improvement and education initiatives. The position combines clinical excellence with organizational leadership to advance interventional pulmonology services in the Lansing area. This is a growth-focused opportunity in a collaborative, mission-driven health system.

Responsibilities
- Provide professional medical services with high quality and compassion.
- Supervise medical care for patients assigned to you and participate in practice management and operations.
- Maintain required patient contact time, call coverage, and other duties as assigned.
- Adhere to Hospital and Sparrow Health System billing, documentation, and coding standards.
- Refer medically necessary cases to Sparrow Health System affiliates when appropriate.
- Recruit, supervise and develop office personnel; participate in physician practice group activities and meetings.
- Engage in teaching residents, interns and medical students as directed.
- Complete medical records promptly and ensure accurate documentation and coding.
- Contribute to development and revision of policies, procedures, and quality improvement programs.
- Support and participate in quality assurance and patient care initiatives aligned with Sparrow Way values.
- Demonstrate medical citizenship, courtesy, cooperation, and compliance with corporate policies.
- Maintain good standing in Sparrow Medical Staff and uphold duty to patient care across specialty areas.
Key requirements
- MD or DO
- Board Eligible/Board Certified in Interventional Pulmonology
- Eligible for Board Certification within five years of residency completion
- Interventional Pulmonology experience preferred (Lansing, MI)
