As an Interior Architect at HED, you will guide the integration of architectural and interior design with increasing autonomy and design leadership. You shape holistic, high-performing environments by aligning building systems, codes, and aesthetics. You contribute across project phases and work with cross-disciplinary teams to protect design integrity from concept to construction. You will mentor teammates and support a culture of learning while delivering technically coordinated interior solutions. This role centers on mission-critical projects and the opportunity to advance integration, innovation, and design excellence.

Responsibilities

Lead interior architectural components across schematic design to construction administration
Integrate architectural elements with building systems and codes
Translate concepts into fully coordinated interior solutions
Collaborate with cross-discipline teams including architects, engineers, and consultants
Prepare technical documentation in Revit (details, finish plans, millwork)
Conduct product research and support material selection with emphasis on sustainability and durability
Attend and contribute to client and team meetings, design reviews, and coordination sessions
Mentor junior team members and foster knowledge sharing
Participate in QA/QC and peer reviews to ensure design quality
Stay updated on trends in workplace, learning, healthcare, and living environments

Key requirements

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Architecture or Interior Architecture
4–7 years of professional experience in interior architecture
Architectural Licensure in California
Strong proficiency in Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office
Working knowledge of Enscape, Rhino, and Bluebeam Revu
Familiarity with building codes, ADA, and interior detailing standards
Ability to interpret design concepts into technical solutions
Effective collaboration and communication skills
