As Senior Business Unit Manager, you will steer performance and growth for the Inspection, Imaging, and Service BU, guiding imaging tools and calibration/repair services across global markets. You’ll partner with Marketing, Sales, Engineering, and Strategy to shape strategy, counter competition, and align with corporate priorities. Your leadership will drive product roadmaps, lifecycle management, and go-to-market execution while fostering a customer-centric, high-performance culture. This role offers a strategic impact on diversified product lines and cross-functional initiatives within Fortive’s portfolio.

Responsibilities

Provide visionary leadership and foster a collaborative, innovative culture
Develop and manage product roadmaps, prioritizing based on business value and revenue
Analyze competitors and position the unit for market success
Leverage research and customer data to drive product innovation
Oversee on-time product launches and manage the product lifecycle
Create growth strategies across multiple product lines and industry verticals
Collaborate across functions to achieve unified business objectives
Support business development, partnerships, and M&A activities
Ensure operational excellence and meet financial targets
Attract, develop, and retain high-performing, diverse teams

Key requirements

MBA or equivalent work experience
Direct P&L responsibility preferred
Proven track record in product line and product marketing leadership
Experience driving go-to-market strategies in Fortune 500 and entrepreneurial environments
Leadership in high-growth, globally complex, multidimensional businesses
Strong analytical skills and data-driven decision making
Proficiency operating in matrix organizations
Varied experience including consulting, product management, and commercial roles
High integrity, results-driven, adaptable, and committed to continuous development
