Experteer Overview

As an ISSO III, you ensure the secure operation of information systems and work closely with the ISSM and ISO to manage security across boundaries. You handle day-to-day security operations, including incident handling, training, and documentation updates. You’ll assess changes, support RMF authorization activities, and monitor systems to maintain compliance for collateral, SCI, and SAP environments. This role offers hands-on risk management at scale with DoD/SCI contexts and opportunities to influence security posture.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, review, and update RMF authorization packages
  • Coordinate changes to hardware/software/firmware with ISSM and AO/DAO
  • Perform continuous monitoring and ensure security features are restored after recovery
  • Manage access to and sanitization/destruction of hardware and media
  • Maintain current security documentation and audit records
  • Assist with A&A efforts for DoD/NSA and contractor organizations
  • Identify cyber security vulnerabilities and help implement countermeasures
  • Support ISSO duties for internal and external customers

Key requirements

  • 5+ years of related experience, especially in developing RMF packages
  • 2+ years of SAP experience
  • Bachelor's degree in a related area or equivalent
  • TS/SCI clearance with ability to obtain CI Polygraph
  • IAT Level II or IAM Level II certification (e.g., Security+ CE, CCNA Security)
