Experteer Overview

In this role you own in-force management for French-speaking markets and selected EMEA portfolios, driving commutation and novation strategies with clients and stakeholders. You’ll support product portfolios and market units, ensuring portfolio performance in line with Reinsurance Smart Circle processes. You work across cross-functional teams to de-risk liabilities, free capacity for new business, and optimize in-force portfolios. This is an agile, client-facing role with a meaningful impact on Swiss Re’s P&C reinsurance business.

Responsibilities

Propose, steer and execute portfolio activities to de-risk liabilities via Commutations and Novation
Analyze financial results using various valuation methods
Collaborate with Operations to leverage in-force data for portfolio analysis
Monitor in-force P&C portfolios to prevent surprises in performance
Engage with clients and stakeholders to originate and execute deal opportunities
Support Portfolio Managers and Market Units to align with strategic growth objectives

Key requirements

Minimum 4 years of experience in Property and Casualty (re)insurance
Experience in Client Management, Underwriting, Portfolio Management, Claims or Actuarial functions preferred
Excellent communication skills in Business French (written & spoken)
Independent working style with strong self-initiative
Relationship builder with cross-functional influence and change-management experience
Team leadership or coaching experience essential
Good understanding of client financials and ability to originate and negotiate Commutation- and Novation deals
