In this role you help translate global medical strategy into executable plans across the IBU and LOCs, acting as a scientific leader and execution partner for assigned therapeutic areas. You will own KOL engagement, ensure medical activities align with global direction, and enable LOCs to implement strategies with cross-functional teams. You’ll drive evidence needs, coordinate launches, and manage budgets to support delivery of medical priorities at global and local levels. This position offers visibility across Global, IBU, and LOCs and a chance to shape medical execution in Immunology-related areas.
Responsibilities
- Translate global medical strategy into aligned execution across IBU and LOCs
- Lead IBU KOL engagement strategy and build scientific relationships
- Serve as medical SME within cross-functional teams (MCE, Market Access, R&D, GMA)
- Support launch readiness and field execution across markets
- Enable LOC medical teams with clear guidance and coordinated support
- Identify evidence needs and support evidence generation with Global and LOCs
- Manage budgets and resources for assigned TA/products with governance alignment
- Provide visibility and tracking of spend to inform TA Head decisions
Key requirements
- Advanced scientific degree (MD, PhD, PharmD, or equivalent)
- Typically < 8+ years experience in Medical Affairs and/or clinical development in pharma/biotech
- Experience in Immunology (Derm, Rheum & Gastro)
- Prior regional or global experience preferred
