Experteer Overview
In this role you will build and lead a new Treasury function within a fast-growing, globally active business. You will establish policies, manage liquidity and forecasting, and develop banking relationships to support financial stability and risk mitigation. The position is hands-on and greenfields, offering the chance to modernise processes and shape treasury systems. You will partner with senior leadership to enable strategic, commercial decision-making and high-value transactions.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement the Treasury function from the ground up
- Develop and document treasury policies, procedures, and controls
- Select and implement a Treasury Management System (TMS)
- Oversee daily cash operations and liquidity optimization
- Lead cash flow forecasting and intercompany cash movements
- Develop FX and interest rate risk mitigation strategies and hedging
- Establish and manage banking relationships; monitor debt facilities and covenants
- Lead refinancing initiatives and funding strategy
- Deliver treasury reporting to Executive Committee and Board; act as trusted advisor
- Monitor macroeconomic trends and assess impact on treasury operations
Key requirements
- 7+ years of corporate treasury experience
- Degree in Finance, Mathematics, Economics, or similar analytical discipline; ACT qualification or equivalent
- Experience managing complex multi-currency treasury operations (FX, funding, liquidity)
- Hands-on with treasury instruments (FX, swaps, money market deposits, short-term investments)
- Global banking experience across USD, GBP, EUR
- Strong numerical/analytical skills for risk assessment and decision support
- Proficient in Excel with financial modelling; experience with a Treasury Management System
- Power BI or similar tools advantageous
- High integrity, professionalism, and discretion; collaborative and independent working style
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, flat-structured, entrepreneurial environment
