As Head of Software Development at Fabasoft, you lead both the technical and disciplinary aspects of our software teams, guiding the full lifecycle from idea to operation. You drive the evolution of the Fabasphere AI Core and ensure our solutions stay technically and strategically current. You foster an ambitious, responsible, and excellent culture while implementing scalable Agile/DevOps processes and overseeing audits and compliance. This role reports to the CTO and collaborates with the executive team, shaping the company’s digital future.

Responsibilities

Provide technical and disciplinary leadership for software teams
Own the full software lifecycle from concept to operation
Advance the Fabasphere AI Core and ensure state-of-the-art solutions
Foster a culture of ambition, responsibility, innovation and excellence
Implement scalable Agile, DevOps, CI/CD processes and drive continuous improvement
Oversee audits, certifications, and compliance in software development
Collaborate with the CTO and other executives to align strategy with execution

Key requirements

Completed technical education (HTL, FH, or university) with several years of experience
Experience in full-stack development (frontend and backend)
Proficiency in agile methods (Scrum), CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps
Deep understanding of cloud-native architectures, microservices, APIs, and cloud/on-prem hybrids
Proven track record building and leading software engineering teams
Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills
Willingness to adopt new technologies and continuous development
Fluent in German and English
