As Head of Projects, you will lead the PMO for Fastned's Service Operations across Europe, shaping the project roadmap and ensuring high-value delivery. You’ll steer cross-functional collaboration, governance, and continuous improvement to align projects with strategic objectives. You’ll manage budgets, risks, and resources while developing a high-performing team. This is an opportunity to influence European infrastructure and support Fastned’s mission for reliable, sustainable energy.

Responsibilities

Lead the Project Management Office (PMO) and establish standards, methodologies, and best practices for project delivery
Develop and maintain a comprehensive project roadmap aligned with strategic objectives
Prioritize projects based on impact and resources, ensuring high-value delivery
Oversee planning, execution, and delivery of infrastructure and service operations projects
Build and lead a high-performing team of project managers
Develop and maintain governance frameworks, tools, and reporting systems
Monitor progress, manage risks, and resolve issues to secure successful outcomes
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, finance, legal, retail, CoE, etc.) to ensure alignment and resource allocation
Drive continuous improvement in project delivery processes and outcomes
Report project status, risks, and opportunities to senior leadership
Manage project budgets, forecasts, and resource planning
Foster a culture of accountability, transparency, and excellence in project management
Hands-on involvement in some projects when needed

Key requirements

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Business, Project Management, or a related field
8+ years of experience in project management, with at least 3 years in a leadership and PMO role
Proven track record delivering complex, multi-site infrastructure or service operations projects (EV charging, energy, or utilities experience a plus)
Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (PMI, PRINCE2, Agile)
Experience in project prioritization and resource management
Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Fluent in English; other European languages are a plus
