Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the global product compliance strategy aligned with business, technology, and sustainability goals
- Harmonize compliance practices globally while adapting to regional regulations and customer expectations
- Identify and mitigate compliance risks, ensuring proactive product safety and regulatory adherence
- Plan and implement compliance initiatives and drive continuous improvement
- Prepare and present strategic recommendations to executive leadership
- Lead and manage a global network of compliance professionals in a matrix organization, balancing governance with regional accountability
- Advance development and delivery of compliance training programs to foster a culture of compliance
- Drive change programs for digitalization and automation of compliance processes
- Represent FUCHS in global regulatory forums and industry associations, monitoring regulatory changes and trends
Key requirements
- Advanced degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related technical field
- Strong expertise in (global) regulatory and product compliance in chemical, lubricants, or life sciences industries
- Strategic thinking and business acumen to balance regulatory integrity with commercial needs
- Experience in a leadership role within a multinational matrix organization
- Skilled in data analysis to identify trends and risks
- Strong strategic foresight and innovation capability
- Excellent operational execution with a results-oriented mindset
- Proven ability to foster collaboration and build relationships across organization, regulatory forums, and external stakeholders
- Strong communication and persuasive skills across cultures
- Willingness to travel internationally
- Excellent command of English; additional languages a plus
