In this role you will lead the engineering experience and platform strategy, championing AI-enabled tools and workflows to boost developer productivity at scale. You will shape a seamless SDLC-enabled environment, partnering with senior technology leaders to reduce cognitive load and accelerate high-quality software delivery. You’ll drive modernisation of development ecosystems, embedding intelligent agents and proactive insights. Responsibilities
- Own and optimize the end-to-end developer workflow, including onboarding, tooling decisions, documentation, and internal platforms
- Act as the voice of engineers to identify pain points and drive improvements
- Evaluate, implement, and manage development tools, including AI code assistants, AI agents for developer experience, GitHub Actions, CI/CD pipelines, and internal platforms
- Collaborate with Head of Architecture to align on standards and with Head of Cloud for cloud-native practices
- Lead the Engineering Metrics Program, defining and reporting developer experience and productivity metrics
- Lead the Developer Evangelization Group to help teams adopt new technologies and processes
- Run regular feedback loops to measure and improve developer satisfaction
- Foster a culture of learning, innovation, and knowledge sharing through events, documentation, and mentorship
Key requirements
- 10+ years of experience in software engineering, developer productivity, or platform engineering
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Deep understanding of modern development workflows, cloud platforms, DevOps, and developer productivity tools such as Github Copilot, AI agents, and GitHub Actions
