As Head of Divisional Finance, you will lead financial policy, performance and value-for-money across the trust, shaping services within budget and across sites. You will partner with executive leadership to provide strategic financial advice, robust controls and modernised financial services. The role blends strategic planning, performance management and business partnering to support patient-focused services. This is a senior, impactful role within the Senior Finance Team with a focus on delivering sustainable financial improvements.

Responsibilities
- Provide commentaries to support financial information
- Produce rolling five-year plan for the directorate with HoIP
- Lead strategic business development and process redesign for the directorate
- Build positive internal and external relationships to achieve trust objectives
- Deputise for the Associate Director of Finance as required
- Support annual planning and budget setting with the ADoF and HoIP
- Manage Finance Business Partners and Divisional Accountants
- Produce monthly bottom-up financial forecast aligned with activity, expenditure and workforce
- Champion IuRPs and enable directorates to deliver local and trust-wide savings
- Support financial evaluation of tenders with HoC and HoIP
- Support Reference Cost submission and benchmarking against peers
- Develop and roll out Service Line Management for better financial management
- Provide ad-hoc information requests as needed
Key requirements
- CCAB/ CIMA Qualified
- Evidence of continued professional development
- Experience in strategic leadership and stakeholder management
- Leading financial performance management across a large organisation
- Managing a finance team (recruitment, development, performance)
- Autonomous work with senior stakeholders to deliver projects
- Experience with transition or change management
- Knowledge of statutory accounts procedures and guidelines
- Excellent IT skills with complex spreadsheets/databases
- Strong leadership, communication, and change management abilities
- Ability to manage workload and meet tight deadlines
