In this role you will steer the technical development and accreditation strategy for the BA Division within SGS. You’ll lead a global technical team, shape policy and delivery standards, and safeguard the Division’s licence to operate. You will balance technical leadership with commercial insight to ensure efficient, compliant service delivery and profitability. Responsibilities

Set and enforce technical and accreditation strategy for the BA Division
Lead global technical and accreditation functions to ensure service quality
Manage international accreditation activities (UKAS, ANAB, etc.) and maintain local accreditations
Provide technical direction and support to the BA certification network
Lead and manage the global technical team and staff
Coordinate improvements in systems, procedures and standards
Oversee relationships with Accreditation Bodies and external organizations (IIOC, IAF, EA)
Support development of new products and services and ensure compliance with corporate objectives
Arbitrate and resolve accreditation/technical/operational conflicts in the network
Collaborate with IT and other teams to advance remote audit and digital tools

Key requirements

Graduate level of studies or equivalent in a commercial or technical discipline
Minimum 10 years’ experience in audit and certification with technical and commercial responsibilities
Thorough understanding of certification and accreditation processes and requirements
Experience as Lead Auditor / Trainer for accredited third party certification
Strong strategic and commercial acumen
Proven people management skills
Fluent in English
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook
Some flexibility to travel
Experience as a technical leader
