In this role you will lead Glovo's global tax function, ensuring compliant, strategically aligned tax positions across markets. You will partner with cross-functional teams to manage tax risk, accounting, and reporting, while driving optimization and governance improvements. The role combines hands-on leadership with strategic foresight in a fast-moving, international environment. You will shape tax strategy to support rapid growth and complex, cross-border operations. You will also mentor a team of eight and influence stakeholders across the organization.

Responsibilities

Align tax structure and strategy with company objectives and long-term plans
Anticipate global tax developments and adjust tax position accordingly
Ensure compliance with local tax filing and payment requirements
Strengthen global tax governance, risk management, and policy alignment
Oversee tax accounting and reporting for high-quality outputs
Improve transparency of tax results with forecasting and KPIs
Modernize tax processes through automation and technology
Collaborate with stakeholders and manage external advisors, auditors, and authorities
Set and review team goals and develop the tax team

Key requirements

14+ years of international tax experience in in-house and Big4/law firm environments
Experience leading global or multi-jurisdictional tax functions in fast-growth settings
Proven ability to address complex domestic and cross-border tax matters
Deep expertise in direct/indirect taxes, international taxation, transfer pricing, tax accounting and compliance
Strategic thinking with execution capability
Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
Mentoring and leadership abilities
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
English full professional proficiency
