In this role, you drive revenue growth within DHL's Air Capacity Sales for Global Key Accounts and selected new customers. You’ll lead pricing responses and RFQs, coordinate with internal teams to implement new pricing and services, and act as the primary consultant on network solutions. You will oversee regional teams and contribute to budgets and product development to sustain ACS momentum. This is a high-impact position shaping how DHL optimizes air capacity for key accounts.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and grow revenue with current key accounts
  • Ensure post-sales satisfaction and long-term relationships
  • Pursue non-buying or new accounts within assigned territory
  • Lead customer-focused teams to coordinate activities and account support
  • Develop sales strategies to increase penetration and profitability
  • Create and execute comprehensive sales plans for territories and accounts
  • Facilitate information flow between key accounts and DHL
  • Identify new business opportunities with named accounts regionally and nationally
  • Leverage data (WACD) and ACS tools to uncover opportunities
  • Coordinate with regional GSA to align requests and services
  • Collaborate with booking center to share competitive insights and data
  • Interpret network schedules and maintain knowledge of aircraft types, ULDs, and payload limits
  • Attend RFQ sessions, contract meetings, tradeshows, and training as required
  • Complete DHL training on schedule
  • Translates high-level directions into actionable plans for issue remediation
  • Manage large, complex projects with strategic importance to DHL
  • Negotiate complex or risky issues for the company
  • Reach cross-functional agreement on strategic objectives with diverse stakeholders

Key requirements

  • Recognized subject matter expert in Airline Cargo Sales
  • Serves as prime consultant on policies, programs, capabilities, and long-range goals in the field
  • Ability to be trained on emerging technologies (e.g., WACD, CUT, SOC)
  • Develops new applications based on professional principles
  • Typically BS/BA in related discipline with 10–15 years of experience OR MS/MA with 7–10 years of experience in Airline Cargo Sales
  • Professional serving as a consultant to management or GSA on major matters pertaining to policies and plans
  • Location flexibility: CVG Hub, Erlanger KY or Chicago
  • Work authorization: United States (no sponsorship)
