In this role you drive revenue growth and strategic partnerships within DHL’s Air Capacity Sales division. You are the primary contact for Global Key Accounts and play a pivotal role in pricing, RFQ responses, and network solutions. You lead cross-functional teams to expand accounts, develop sales plans, and translate market insights into value-added services. This is a high-impact role at a growing unit that directly reduces air line haul costs while advancing DHL’s leadership in logistics.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and grow revenue streams with key accounts and post-sales satisfaction to foster long-term relationships
  • Manage relationships with high-level customers and coordinate cross-functional, customer-focused teams
  • Develop strategies to increase sales, penetration, and profits in assigned accounts; create and implement sales plans
  • Facilitate information flow between key accounts and the company; promote new business with national/regional accounts
  • Identify opportunities by analyzing account needs, decision-makers, and priorities; align DHL ACS services to customer demands
  • Use WACD data and DHL ACS tools to identify sales opportunities in territory; coordinate with regional GSA for service promotion
  • Coordinate sales efforts with booking center; provide data on competitors and suppliers to product management
  • Interpret network schedules; maintain up-to-date knowledge of aircraft types, ULDs, and payload restrictions
  • Attend RFQ sessions, contract solicitations, tradeshows, and required training; complete DHL training timely
  • Autonomy: exercise latitude in objectives and approaches; work under consultative direction toward long-term goals; impact strategic, cross-departmental projects
  • Knowledge: possess expert knowledge in contracts and solicitation processes; preferred experience with Global Key Accounts
  • People Management: engage others in multi-disciplinary innovations and collaboration; support employee development

Key requirements

  • Recognized subject matter expert in Airline Cargo Sales
  • Serves as prime consultant on policies, programs, capabilities, and long-range goals in the field
  • Ability to be trained in emerging technologies (WACD, CUT, SOC)
  • Develops new applications based on professional principles and theories
  • BS/BA in related discipline with 10–15 years of diverse or complex experience, or MS/MA with 7–10 years in Airline Cargo Sales
  • Experience as a consultant to management or GSA on major matters pertaining to policies, plans, and objectives
