In this role you lead the Analytical Development and Quality Control function for the Gene Therapy portfolio, shaping science-driven, risk-based strategies from candidate nomination to commercialization. You drive the global ADQC roadmap, build an agile, scaleable organization, and partner with R&D, Regulatory, QA, and Manufacturing. You will advance analytical methods for viral vectors and nucleic acids, influence industry benchmarks, and lead a global, cross-site team toward regulatory excellence and product success.

Responsibilities

Define and evolve the global ADQC strategy for the Roche Gene Therapy portfolio
Shape organizational design and operating model for a global, agile function
Oversee end-to-end analytical strategies, method development, validation, and QC testing across sites
Lead scientific advancement and implementation of analytics for viral vectors and nucleic acids
Serve as authoritative voice in governance, partnering with Research, Regulatory, QA, MSAT, and Manufacturing to ensure CMC alignment

Key requirements

20+ years in research or biotech, with progressive responsibility in Gene Therapy or Biologics analytical development
at least 10 years in supervisory or lead roles
deep technical expertise in viral vectors and nucleic acid formats
strong knowledge of CMC requirements and GMP standards
advanced degree (Master's or PhD) in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology or related discipline
