As a Senior Accountant at Seekda, you will own the monthly and year-end close, balance sheet accuracy, and key reporting for a fast-paced SaaS business. You’ll drive improvements in financial processes, support audits, and provide actionable insights to guide decisions. You’ll work in a remote, global finance team, collaborating across functions to strengthen internal controls and ensure regulatory compliance. This role offers exposure to international operations and a chance to shape scalable finance processes in a growing software company.

Responsibilities
- Lead monthly and year-end close activities with complex journal entries and analyses
- Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations
- Oversee daily Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes
- Ensure supplier invoices are entered correctly in the ERP and issued promptly
- Manage vendor communications and cost accruals for monthly P&L reviews
- Review and approve supplier payments, bank transfers, and AP batches
- Reconcile employee expenses, corporate cards, invoices, and intercompany transactions
- Maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with policies and best practices
- Prepare and validate monthly financial KPIs and management reports
- Prepare monthly VAT returns and support external audits and tax advisors
- Provide ad hoc financial analyses and reporting to support business decisions
- Analyze performance vs budgets/forecasts and highlight variances
- Prepare monthly customer churn analyses and support reporting initiatives
Key requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience in a technology or SaaS environment
- German language proficiency (speaking, reading, writing) mandatory
- Professional accounting or bookkeeping qualification is an asset
- Strong understanding of accrual accounting and financial reporting
- Advanced Excel and Office skills
- Strong analytical, detail-oriented, and organized mindset
- Self-starter, ownership mindset, and problem-solver
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new systems and processes
- Interest in continuous improvement, automation, and streamlining finance operations
- Excellent communication and cross-team collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote, fast-paced environment
