As Head of Finance, you will lead GIS's Finance function, aligning local finance with Generali Investments’ principles to support growth and risk-managed value creation. You will own financial planning, accounting, controlling, and reporting, ensuring high-quality insights for decision-making and full regulatory compliance. You will partner with senior leadership to drive strategic initiatives, improve processes, and strengthen the financial governance framework in a dynamic, international environment.

Responsibilities

Lead the GIS Finance function and team, applying Generali Investments Finance principles to GIS's size and regulatory environment
Oversee central finance processes: accounting, statutory reporting Swiss GAAP OR, planning and controlling, budgeting, management reporting, regulatory reporting FINMA
Ensure timely statutory financial statements and IFRS reporting packages aligned with Group policies
Drive financial planning and performance management, delivering clear insights for business decisions
Ensure Swiss tax compliance and coordinate with stakeholders as needed
Manage local liquidity planning and banking relationships
Oversee internal controls, processes, and data quality for a robust control environment
Optimize finance governance and reporting processes with GIH, Generali Switzerland, and external providers
Contribute to cross-functional projects and GIS's continuous improvement agenda

Key requirements

University or similar degree with focus on Finance
Minimum 5 years of leadership experience in Finance
Proven experience in the financial industry, in international corporate environments or FINMA-regulated contexts
Minimum 5 years hands-on experience in Finance and Accounting, including book closing under Swiss law (OR) and IFRS
Strong expertise in strategic planning, controlling, and reporting
Proven track record in managing and implementing interdisciplinary financial projects
Experience in the fund industry or asset management is an advantage
IT skills: data management, MS Office, accounting tools (SAP), and reporting tools (PowerBI)
Excellent command of English and German; Italian a plus
High initiative, hands-on mentality, assertiveness, empathy, and strong team orientation
