In this role you support the planning, development, and approval of facility programs and projects for real property installations. You contribute to construction management, program development, and operations/maintenance efforts across multi-discipline engineering domains. You evaluate programs, plans, and upgrades for new construction and renovations to align with installation needs. This position offers exposure to federal project management, budgeting, contracting, and compliance within a large defense environment. You will work with cross-functional teams to deliver technically sound and compliant facility solutions that support mission readiness.

Responsibilities

Develop and gain approval for facility programs/projects with organizational managers and engineering authorities
Perform construction management, program/base development, and O/M functions
Evaluate and recommend programs and development plans for new construction, renovation, and improvements of real property facilities
Utilize professional knowledge of multi-discipline engineering to assess and apply engineering standards and practices

Key requirements

Specialized experience at the level specified for GS-11 to GS-15 in the General Schedule, including applying engineering principles and analyzing problems to meet requirements
Bachelor’s level or higher degree in engineering or equivalent combination of education/experience meeting ABET criteria (per basic requirements)
Knowledge of multi-disciplinary engineering concepts, standards, and methods
Familiarity with design/construction processes, contract management, and budgeting within infrastructure projects
