Experteer Overview
In this role you will help shape facility programs and major construction and renovation projects for Air Force installations. You will collaborate with base leadership, budgets, and engineering authorities to obtain approvals and drive multi-disciplinary projects from concept through completion. You’ll apply engineering principles to plan, design, and manage infrastructure and utility systems, ensuring cost-effective, compliant solutions. This position offers exposure to different locations and the chance to support critical military facilities at scale.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with managers, budget personnel, and engineering authorities to develop and gain approval for facility programs and projects
- Engage in construction management, program/base development, and O/M functions to support real property facilities
- Evaluate and recommend programs for new construction, renovation, and improvements of facilities and utility systems
- Apply multi-disciplinary engineering knowledge to inform design, planning, and upgrade efforts
- Prepare plans and concepts for construction and repair efforts with attention to cost, schedule, and regulatory requirements
Key requirements
- Bachelor-level education and professional engineering background (ABET-accredited path or equivalent)
- Specialized experience at GS-11 to GS-15 levels with progressive complexity in engineering principles, design, and program management
- Ability to interpret and apply engineering standards and guidelines to real property projects
- Knowledgeable in contracting principles and budget/program management within an installation context
- KSAs including design concepts conveyance via CAD/GIS and scheduling tools
