In this role you will guide legal strategy for a high-growth tech company at scale. You will partner with the CEO, Board, and leadership to ensure compliant, efficient operations across governance, financing, and regulatory matters. You will shape commercial agreements and real estate, while preparing the company for IPO and future public markets. The position offers a chance to influence strategic initiatives in a regulated, infrastructure-driven business and lead a capable legal team. This is a mission-critical role for accelerating growth responsibly and sustaining trust with enterprise customers.

Responsibilities

Serve as principal legal advisor to CEO, executive leadership team, and Board
Lead global legal matters including governance, financing, commercial transactions, regulatory compliance, real estate, land use, and operational risk
Guide late-stage private operations, capital raises, debt financing, and IPO readiness
Oversee complex enterprise, partner, supplier, and infrastructure agreements
Partner with go-to-market, sales, and operations to support long-term infrastructure-style customer relationships
Advise on regulatory frameworks across federal, state, and local permitting and zoning
Support real-world operations and safety initiatives including crisis response
Lead and develop a high-performing legal team and manage outside counsel
Influence across cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment

Key requirements

J.D. from an accredited law school; active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
Significant legal experience at a high-growth technology company
Prior General Counsel experience preferred, or strong #2 candidate consideration
Strong commercial contracting experience (customer, supplier, and infrastructure agreements)
Experience in hardware-enabled, complex operations or regulated industries
Corporate governance, venture/late-stage financing, and public-company preparation
Familiarity with land use, zoning, permitting, and regulated operations
Practical, business-forward advisory style
