As Bid Management Team Lead, you guide a team of project managers through bidding activities to shape and submit high-quality proposals. You collaborate with Commercial to ensure a smooth RFQ transition while maintaining bid plans and schedules. You’ll coordinate across GIGO, Edgewing, LSIs and LSSIs to secure additional work through timely, well-scoped bids. This role puts you at the heart of shaping opportunities in a multinational defence context, contributing to strategic programmes and cross-functional delivery.

Responsibilities

Lead a team of project managers to plan and manage bid activities for timely, quality submissions
Identify scope and shape new tasks across GCAP programme and partner domains
Develop and integrate bid plans with the overall programme schedule
Identify and manage risks and opportunities for proposal submission and contract award
Coordinate with Commercial contract acquisition to ensure smooth RFQ transition and ongoing bid support
Collaborate with GIGO, Edgewing, LSIs, Domains and stakeholders to realise opportunities

Key requirements

Bachelor or equivalent professional experience
Experience leading large, complex bids
Ability to influence senior stakeholders and multi-functional teams
Programme experience across concept, design, development, and manufacturing phases
Good English language skills
Desirable professional certifications: PMP, PRINCE2 Practitioner, APM
