You’ll handle research, briefs, depositions, and negotiations, while staying current with evolving laws. You contribute to building a high-performing defense practice and delivering value to insured clients and their businesses.

Responsibilities

Conduct legal research, develop case strategy, and prepare legal briefs and documents
Advise clients on legal liabilities, risks, and other related issues
Represent clients in court proceedings, including trials, depositions, and hearings
Interpret laws, rulings, and regulations and apply them to specific cases
Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients
Communicate with opposing counsel to discuss legal issues
Keep abreast of changes and developments in the law

Key requirements

Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
4+ years of litigation experience with a focus on General Liability/Insurance Defense
Experience conducting legal research, developing case strategy, and preparing legal briefs and documents
Excellent writing, verbal communication, and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases simultaneously
