In this role you will lead the front-end architecture for mobile and desktop web applications, shaping the current app and driving its speed, responsiveness, and scalability. You collaborate with design, product management, and technology teams to translate requirements into reusable components and robust interfaces. You will steer frontend direction and ensure cross-functional alignment across enterprise initiatives and speech recognition initiatives. This is a hands-on role that combines technical leadership with practical implementation to deliver high-quality web experiences.

Responsibilities

Lead front-end architecture for web apps (desktop and mobile)
Design and shape the current app to be responsive and scalable
Convert mock-ups and wireframes into reusable components
Collaborate with design, product, and engineering to respond to requirements
Optimize performance and ensure cross-browser compatibility
Develop single-page web applications using modern frontend frameworks
Represent the front-end discipline within the organization
Work with server-side technologies and cloud environments to support front-end work
Evaluate technologies and guide frontend direction

Key requirements

3+ years building web applications for desktop and mobile
Strong communication with design, product, technology, and engineering teams
Write and debug reusable, testable, efficient code
Proficiency with JavaScript, HTML/CSS, Node.js, AngularJS
Familiarity with Django, Linux and AWS; understanding of Linux and HTTP fundamentals
Passion for exploring latest development tools and platforms
BS in Computer Science or related field
Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3 and basic understanding of Sass
Experience with client-side scripting and JQuery
Experience with ReactJS, Ember.js or similar frameworks is a plus
Experience with cross-browser compatibility and issue resolution
Ability to translate mock-ups/wireframes into maintainable components
