In this role you will fortify digital payments by building real-time defense strategies and a responsive decisioning stack. You’ll collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Data Science to deploy ML-augmented rules that curb fraud with minimal user friction. You will identify evolving fraud tactics and translate insights into end-to-end mitigations, while reporting on risk posture to leadership. This position offers ownership, fast-paced growth, and relocation to Luxembourg.

Responsibilities

  • Design and deploy real-time decisioning logic combining ML scores with velocity features
  • Translate fraud patterns into high-performing rules balancing false positives and fraud loss
  • Investigate emerging fraud schemes (e.g., ATO, social engineering) to build end-to-end mitigations
  • Collaborate with Product and Engineering to define analytic requirements and data signals
  • Operationalize ML models with heuristic rules and calibrate model scores
  • Assess security measures to minimize user friction and maintain a smooth UX
  • Monitor rule performance and portfolio health, informing leadership on risk appetite

Key requirements

  • 3–7 years in risk, payments, or credit sectors
  • Strong SQL and Python skills for data analysis and strategy
  • Solid understanding of payment fraud dynamics and real-time decisioning
  • Excellent communication and English fluency
