As Fractional CTO at ALOHAS, you will set the technical direction for an AI-native fashion company, aligning technology with business value. You will supervise a partner ecosystem, govern architecture, and enable fast execution through our AI Software Crafter and external partners. You translate business aims into executable tech strategies and communicate risks and opportunities to the CEO and leadership. This role blends strategic oversight with hands-off delivery, focusing on scalability, reliability, and long-term coherence across systems. Responsibilities

Define and evolve the technical vision for an AI-native company
Provide strategic oversight of 5+ technology partners, including quarterly reviews and vendor selection
Review and validate architectural decisions from AI Software Crafter and partners
Lead architectural transformation initiatives and ensure coherence across systems (Shopify, Odoo, Data, AI agents)
Define and implement testing, quality, and reliability strategies and governance (ADRs, standards)
Balance rapid experimentation with production stability and manage tech debt strategy
Act as a backup for AI Software Crafter and enable rapid AI-driven experimentation within a scalable framework
Translate business objectives into executable tech strategies and communicate risks/opportunities to C-level
Support leadership decisions on growth, scalability, and transformation

Key requirements

Proven experience as CTO, Fractional CTO, VP Engineering, or Principal Architect
Experience in architectural evolution and transformation of digital platforms
Strong track record in defining and executing medium/long-term tech strategies
Experience managing technology vendors and partners
Deep understanding of modern backend/frontend architectures, cloud-native platforms (GCP), API-first and event-driven systems
Solid background in testing strategies, CI/CD, and quality frameworks
Comfort operating at C-level with technical and non-technical stakeholders
Familiarity with AI/LLM landscape and agentic systems
Experience in Fashion/Retail/E-commerce and knowledge of Shopify and Odoo
Experience supporting high-growth or transformation phases
