In this role you will oversee financial reporting, compliance, budgeting, and audits for a portfolio of software entities. You will ensure accurate statements and robust internal controls while supporting strategic planning. The position involves coordinating audits, managing intercompany activities, and delivering insights to leadership. You will work closely with cross-functional teams in a dynamic, regulatory-driven environment to enable disciplined growth.
Responsibilities
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting
- Ensure GAAP/IFRS compliance, tax regulations, and corporate policies
- Manage intercompany transactions
- Organize and manage internal and external audits
- Collaborate with auditors and regulators to ensure compliance
- Implement and monitor internal controls and risk management policies
- Prepare year-end statutory accounts for German entities
- Assist in budget preparation, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Monitor financial performance and provide strategic insights to senior management
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements
- Supervise and train accounting staff in financial processes
Key requirements
- 5+ years of experience in financial reporting, audits, and compliance
- Strong knowledge of GAAP/IFRS, internal controls, and risk management
- Proficiency in SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or equivalent ERP
- Advanced skills in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting
- Strong leadership abilities and experience managing teams
- Ability to collaborate with external auditors and regulatory bodies
- Fluent in German and English
