In this Finance Manager role at Cambrex Waterford, you will lead monthly management accounts, deliver insightful reporting, and coordinate group submissions. You’ll manage tax compliance and the annual budgeting cycle, oversee a small finance team, and support strategic decision-making with forecasting and analysis. The position sits at the intersection of finance and operations, driving accurate financials across sites. You’ll work with cross-functional stakeholders to sustain growth and ensure regulatory and statutory compliance.

Responsibilities
- Lead monthly management accounts (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) for Q1 sites
- Deliver monthly reporting packs aligned with group standards
- Coordinate monthly/quarterly reporting to U.S.-based Group Finance
- Prepare and maintain monthly forecasts highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities
- Oversee regulatory tax submissions (VAT, VIES, RTD, P30, 46G) for Ireland/Belgium
- Lead and develop a team of three finance professionals
- Manage month-end close, including journals, reconciliations, and variance analysis
- Oversee annual audit activities and act as main liaison to external auditors
- Lead the annual budgeting process with stakeholders
- Monitor cash flow and liquidity planning
- Maintain fixed asset registers, accruals, prepayments, and lease schedules
- Provide ad hoc financial analysis and guidance across finance
Key requirements
- Fully qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) with minimum 5 years post‑qualification experience
- Strong financial and commercial acumen with ability to translate data into insights
- Proven experience in historical analysis and forward-looking forecasts, with identifying trends and risks
- Proactive self-starter with excellent organisational skills
- Excellent communication skills to present to financial and non-financial stakeholders
- Collaborative, team-focused mindset in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in SAP; advanced Excel and other financial systems advantageous
