In this role you will lead the Italian subsidiary’s finance and controlling activities, aligning local financial operations with the Group’s strategy. You will manage relationships with banks and external advisors, oversee forecasting, budgeting, and reporting, and drive capital allocation, tax compliance, and IFRS adherence. You’ll support the Group CFO with funding strategies and due diligence for potential M&A, while growing a high-performance local finance team. This position offers strategic visibility within a global industrial group and a chance to shape financial processes across the Italian operation.

Responsibilities
- Lead finance and controlling for the Italian subsidiary ensuring alignment with corporate strategy and local compliance
- Represent the company in negotiations with financial institutions, advisors, and external stakeholders
- Oversee cash flow forecasting, budgeting, and financial planning across short to long-term horizons
- Evaluate investment opportunities and manage local credit, treasury, and financing operations
- Support the Group CFO in preparing financial documentation, business cases, and local/group funding strategies
- Monitor P&L, balance sheet, and monthly closing processes with accuracy and timeliness
- Oversee fixed asset control, CAPEX analysis, and working capital optimization
- Ensure compliance with Italian tax/accounting standards and IFRS
- Drive continuous improvement of financial processes and systems for efficiency and transparency
- Support potential M&A activities including due diligence and post-merger integration planning
- Lead and mentor a local finance team emphasizing high performance and accountability
Key requirements
- Degree in Finance, Economics, or Business Administration; MBA or similar postgraduate studies are a strong plus
- 7–10 years of senior financial leadership experience, preferably in industrial/manufacturing sectors
- Experience in a Big Four firm (audit or transaction services) highly valued
- Strong command of financial planning, analysis, reporting, and cash management
- Proven track record in international corporate environments and matrix organizations
- Languages: fluent Italian and English; Spanish a plus
- Strong leadership, negotiation, and strategic decision-making skills
- Advanced skills in financial systems and tools (ERP, Excel, BI tools)
