In this role you will drive hands-on maintenance and overhaul support for heavy industrial gas turbines across global sites. You’ll guide technical direction during inspections, commissioning and service events, ensuring adherence to Sulzer specifications. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage scope, risks and resources, while developing rotating equipment services. This is a hands-on, international role offering travel and impact on major turbine projects.

Responsibilities

Oversee technical aspects and quality of overhauls and service activities according to specifications
Discuss repairs and methods with engineers and field team; define scope, risks and critical factors
Provide mechanical off-site and on-site technical direction during maintenance events (inspections, revisions, commissioning)
Ensure accurate installation, troubleshooting, maintenance and diagnostics of rotating equipment per Sulzer instructions
Plan and supervise site activities including resource integration and technical support within contractual scope
Supervise contract personnel and monitor quality and progress during gas turbine overhauls
Support field service activities in back-office roles
Contribute to developments on rotating equipment related services and products

Key requirements

Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering
5 years' experience in rotating equipment, gas turbines engineering and hands-on maintenance
Experience interpreting mechanical drawings (sections, construction drawings, P&IDs, alignment specs, flushing/blowing procedures, piping specs)
Very good English language skills
Proactive, flexible and problem-solving attitude
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
