In this role you support customers in bioprocess purification by applying Purolite resin chromatography solutions. You will act as a subject matter expert, collaborating with sales, product management, QA, and R&D to position Purolite resins as high-performance downstream purification options. You’ll provide technical leadership from discovery to cGMP manufacturing, share knowledge via seminars and hands-on training, and build strong customer relationships. The position offers cross-functional exposure, field travel, and impact across multiple development stages.

Responsibilities

Provide technical leadership on chromatography and downstream purification to design-in Purolite Resins
Deliver scientific support across scales (discovery to cGMP manufacturing) and assist with column packing
Engage directly with end-users to understand purification objectives and address challenges
Collaborate with Sales Manager to develop new opportunities and maximize territory value
Communicate complex technical issues clearly and propose robust, scalable solutions
Maintain business and technical relationships with accounts through regular communication
Use CRM to reflect current development status within the territory
Position Purolite Resins strategically to meet customer needs and process solutions
Deliver technical seminars, hands-on bench work, product demos, and customer service to support Commercial objectives
Liaise with Product Management, Marketing, R&D and other functions internally
Willingness to travel within the territory on a regular basis

Key requirements

BS in biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, biotechnology, biology, chemistry or related field
12 years of experience in related roles
5 years of direct chromatography development experience in Process Development and/or MSAT
Strong knowledge of chromatographic techniques for protein/large molecule purification
Experience operating AKTA or bench-scale chromatography systems and/or automated high-throughput systems (e.g., Tecan)
Experience in small-, pilot-, and large-scale chromatography operations
Familiarity with analytics for purification development (HPLC, ELISA, SDS-PAGE, spectroscopy) and data interpretation
Understanding of DOE and/or statistics
Strong written and oral communication skills
Ability to travel 50% of the time
