As a member of the Family Practice Teaching Faculty in Lansing, you will contribute to resident education while practicing clinically. You will support the Program Director, participate in GME activities, and help strengthen educational objectives within the residency program. This role emphasizes clinical teaching, faculty development, and resident recruitment at a hospital-employed site. You will work within a mission-driven health system focused on innovative, compassionate care and medical education.

Responsibilities
- Assist the Program Director in managing residents' clinical duties and evaluating residents; attend relevant GME meetings
- Improve and safeguard the educational objectives of the residency program in collaboration with Department and Residency Director
- Assist in recruitment and retention of residents for the program
- Develop additional faculty and promote resident training activities (Journal Club, morning report, special study sessions)
- Collaborate with Residency Director and department to enhance teaching and training opportunities
Key requirements
- Residency-trained and Board Certified in Family Medicine
- Meets requirements for membership for the medical staff of University of Michigan Health-Sparrow
- Demonstrates skill and experience in medical education
- Meets ACGME requirements for Core faculty
